About

Meredith is a pop culture and media expert based out of Atlanta, GA. With over a decade of radio and television experience to her name, she now works as a “permalancer” for NBC Network News as a producer, booker and bureau coordinator. Meredith is also a contributing writer on the nerdy news site Geeks Are Sexy.

She got her start in radio while in high school, hosting a daily music and news show at WKPX in Sunrise, FL. Meredith moved to Orlando for college and while pursuing degree in Digital Media, she was given the opportunity to co-host and produce her own talk show — the nationally syndicated Radio Sci-Fi on WDBO, a Cox Communications network. After a brief stint at fashion school, Meredith returned to the University of Central Florida and earned her second degree in Mass Communications / Journalism, and was immediately hired upon graduation as an Associate Producer at WESH 2 News in Orlando. Meredith’s career eventually moved her to Mobile, AL where she got her first taste of field producing. When the Casey Anthony story broke, Meredith returned to Orlando and began her freelance career. She has worked for CNN, Fox News, Big 10 Network, NFL Channel and NBC/MSNBC.

Meredith specializes in pop culture, comic books and video game news and reviews. An avid comic book reader since her dad put her first X-Men comic in her hands at age 8, she hasn’t stopped and spends more money than one person should on her weekly pull list. She has worked along side Airlock Alpha’s Michael Hinman on “Torchwood Talk,” a weekly Torchwood vlog for After Elton/MTV Productions. She has covered fan conventions across the US including DragonCon, New York Comic Con, and MegaCon for various media outlets.

In her spare time, Meredith moonlights as a super hero. Well, sort of. As her alter ego, Ana Aesthetic, she has been involved in the costuming and convention scene since 1999. “Ana” has been featured in publications around the world. Part model, part actress, full time creator – Meredith is a welcomed cosplay and media guest at fan conventions. She hosts an array of panels on costume design and construction, emcees events, and showcases her intricate and colorful costumes based on established media and her own creations.
